Simon Maidment is a media-based artist with a practice encompassing sound design, digital imaging, video and projection installation. He is a graduate of Media Arts (RMIT), and has lectured in its Creative Media department. He often works collaboratively, and in public space, most recently creating a permanent light based architectural work with Alexander Knox entitled Aurora, on Royal Domain Tower. He is currently a Curatorial Advisor and Australian Project Manager of Rapt! 20 Contemporary Artists from Japan, and Director of West Space. www.simon-maidment.com
Paul Shephard moved to Melbourne after completing a Bachelor of Fine arts majoring in photography from the University of Tasmania in 1994. The last ten years have nurtured an increasingly obsessive view towards representing urban lineation. Much sculpture, video installation, and photography has resulted, with his most recent work being chosen for the first Selekta at West Space in 2005. Paul Shephard currently lives and works in Melbourne.
