A small collection of images from past projection projects I worked on with Ian de Gruchy. Sometimes the imagery was a collaboration, often they started out from his huge collection of archived patterns, textures and photos. Always they were complex, many hours spent in Photoshop, churning our way through many montages, before outputting them via the slidewriter (for gorgeous saturated colour) or via the laserprinter, to be rephotographed with litho film (for super sharp edges with the geometric and text work). Amazing to work with things so small that would eventually transform such large spaces…

Included here also are the projects we did for other artists like Barbara Kruger, or Barry Crocker’s play Banjo. A lot of work, a lot of fun.
