Development and production of a heritage interpretation of Princes Pier in Port Melbourne, incorporating a permanent digital platform exploring the site’s historical significance to Victoria. Formed a key part of the Major Projects Victoria restoration of what was one of the state’s most significant landing points for people migrating to Australia throughout the twentieth century.
The interactive platform is housed in a corten pavilion designed by Lovell Chen Architects.
Satellite provided creative development, curatorial services and project management expertise to a group put together by Lou Weis – of Broached Commissions – along with Studio Round, Ramus Illumination and The Royals. The project launched in November 2011.
